Servings: 2
Ingredients:
- Parchment Paper
- Cookie Sheet or Pizza Pan
- Rolling Pin
- 1/3 Cup Almond Flour
- 1 Egg
- 1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/3 Tsp Italian Seasoning
- 4 Ounces of Cream Cheese
- 1/3 Tsp Redmonds Real Salt
Optional: Garlic Butter
- 1/3 cup of Kerrygold Salted Butter
- 1/2 Tbs of Minced Garlic
Instructions:
- Place parchment paper onto the cookie sheet or if you have a small pizza pan you can cut the parchment paper in half to make 2 small breads
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Melt cream cheese, mozzarella and parmesan in a microwave safe bowl for 30 seconds. If the cheese is not melted add another 30 seconds until cheese is fully melted
- Once cheese is melted add 1 egg, 1 1/2 tsp of garlic powder, 1/3 tsp of Italian Seasoning, 1/3 tsp of Redmonds real salt and mix together
- Add 1 cup of almond flour and mix together until dough forms
- Once dough forms I use the kneading method and shape into a round ball
- After shaping your dough cut ball in half to make two small round balls
- Place one small round ball onto the parchment paper and put another piece of parchment paper on top of the dough. This is to prevent the dough from sticking to the rolling pin
- Flatten the dough using the rolling pin. The more flat the dough is the thinner the bread will be. Once dough is flatten to your liking shape into a circle. You can use your hands to shape the edges into a circle. Side note: if the dough is thick the cooking time will be longer
- Once the dough is formed into the shape and size desired poke the top of the dough with a fork several times to prevent the dough from rising
- Place cookie sheet in preheated oven and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. If dough is not slightly brown on top bake for another 3-5 minutes or until slightly browned
- Once bread is baked take out of oven and add mozzarella cheese on top. Use as much cheese as you want
- Put the bread back inside the oven and use the broiler for 3 minutes to melt the cheese
- Once the cheese bread is done remove from oven and cool for about 2 minutes then cut into slices using a knife or pizza cutter
Optional: If you are a garlic lover like me you can add garlic butter on top of the dough before you bake. This will give the bread an extra garlic flavor. To add garlic butter first you would melt 1/3 cup of butter in the microwave. I use Kerrygold Salted Butter and Trader Joe’s Minced Garlic. Once butter is melted add 1/2 Tbs of minced garlic and mix together. Spread onto uncooked dough using a paint brush then bake following the steps above.
Note: Salt to taste, you can always add more or less salt on your next batch of cheesy garlic bread
